HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?

You can expect each session to last from 45-55 minutes for regular therapy appointments.  This includes individual, family and couples sessions.  There are times where trauma related sessions can be scheduled for 90 minutes.  Group sessions, for our Hope (Adolescent Girls for Change) Group and DBT groups vary on the time, from 60-90 minutes.

WHAT KIND OF THERAPEUTIC MODALITIES DO YOU USE?

I provide an eclectic approach that is tailored to each individuals needs.  My modalities are based on YOU.  That being said, I have extensive post graduate training in Trauma therapies including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy)  and Prolonged Exposure therapy.  I utilize a number of other modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Confirmation Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy and Person Center Counseling.  I have been trained by the creators of Brief Solution Focused Therapy as well as working with individuals who are in crisis.  A number of my advanced trainings specialize with adolescent populations.

We accept major insurance companies and offer a very competitive self pay rate for our area.  Please do not let the financial concerns stop you from taking this step forward.  You are worth every bit of the potential cost.

Entering therapy for the first time can be challenging.  Re entering therapy can be even more so.  In working with me, you can expect us to create a plan that meets your needs, goals and hopes.  We will find the strengths you have, combine them with the skills you need to gain and in the end, help you find the change and happiness you want in your life.
